The Olivia Rose Handmade origin story starts nearly 50 years ago, when my grandmother Faye purchased a Kenmore1780 from Sears in 1978. It still sews beautifully today.

A couple of years ago I found myself needing reusable grocery bags, the selection at the time was dismal. Using my grandmother’s machine, I taught myself to make lovely fabric shopping bags for my family and friends. This small accomplishment was so inspiring I immersed myself in tutorials and online classes, learning to make dresses, pillows, baby accessories and the quilted bags that became my obsession.

This all led to a realization; the smallest of things can bring the greatest joy. A treasured painting, piece of furniture or a favorite dress.... every time you see it, your heart fills with happiness. That's how I feel when I'm selecting vintage inspired fabric for my collections, I love them so much I feel compelled to share my delight.
